Fee Adjustment – Effective 28 October 2025

To ensure we can continue providing the high standard of care our community expects and deserves, we are implementing an adjustment to our general and consultation fees from 28 October 2025.

Unfortunately, Government funding for general practice has not kept up with the real costs of delivering healthcare. This has made it increasingly difficult for clinics across Aotearoa to maintain services without reviewing fees.

While some practices are able to offer lower fees due to higher Government subsidies through specific contracts, these clinics often have limited availability and longer wait times. At Te Atatū South Medical Centre, we continue to prioritise same-day or next-day doctor appointments, and our fees have remained well below the national average. Even after this adjustment, our fees will still remain below the national average.

Consultations for children under 14 years will continue to be free, and discounted fees will remain available for patients with a Community Services Card (CSC).

We understand that these are challenging times for many families.

It remains both an honour and a privilege to care for you and your whānau. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and loyalty as we continue to strengthen our services to meet the needs of our community.
